Soil Paintings

This series delves into the world of unfired materials, embracing the raw beauty of wild clays and minerals.

Traditional ceramic processes transforms clay into ceramics, resulting in a significant shift in coloration and overall appearance due to physical and chemical changes during firing. The intention behind this body of work is twofold: to maintain the innate aesthetics of the soil and to minimize waste of organic materials that would otherwise be discarded in a conventional ceramic process.

Each piece is a testament to the preservation of the natural look and feel of earth.
